Club Staff - Administration
Detroit native, A. Majadi, currently serves as the President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino. He has over 20 years experience in community program development, specifically gang prevention and intervention, and is a staunch advocate for education. Mr. Majadi has served as the President/CEO of BGCSB since May of 2008. Read More
He has garnered the support of corporations, school districts, community agencies, local colleges and the community to increase the number of children and families being served each year. Mr. Majadi has been instrumental in providing oversight to the Westside Community Garden, conceptualization and development of the Teen/Multimedia Production Center, and the development of Classically Black...A Night at the Symphony. Additionally, he has provided oversight in the development and implementation of the Science and Math Academies to promote STEM awareness, and to expand the partnership with San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) to increase access for local youth to quality afterschool programs.
In recent years, Mr. Majadi was instrumental in spearheading the creation, development, and administration of an independent study conducted by the Club entitled Needs Assessment for Childhood Asthma, Diabetes, and Obesity on the Westside of San Bernardino. The goal was to collect critical data to provide better and more comprehensive approaches to educating the community on the various risk factors related to health, fitness, and nutrition.
In addition to his position with BGCSB, Mr. Majadi is very active in the overall San Bernardino, serving in a variety of capacities. He is co-founder of the Inland Empire Black Community Coalition. He currently serves as President/CEO of the Black Contractors Association of the Inland Empire, and President of the Black Contractors Association of California. He is Founder and President of JADI Community Resource Development, Vice-President of The Westside Action Group, and board-member for Regional Congregations Neighborhood Organizations and Transcendence Children & Family Services.
Mr. Majadi is co-author of The Plan: A Guide for Women Raising African-American Boys from Conception to College and The Plan Workbook. He remains a constant advocate for Social Justice and a dedicated strategist in promoting educational equity and academic excellence.
Dr. Lolita L. Lyles, MS, PhDDirector of Program Development
Dr. Lolita L. Lyles was born in Hinesville, Georgia and raised in San Bernardino, California. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside and a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of La Verne. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Family Studies at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, where she is now an instructor in the department of Counseling and Family Sciences. Dr. Lyles currently works as the Director of Program Development of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Bernardino, directing club-wide operations of a broad range of programs, with broad oversight of program activities. She plans, develops, oversees implementation of programs, program staff, and performs related administrative duties. Additionally, Dr. Lyles works collaboratively with San Bernardino City Unified School District in overseeing Creative Before and After School Programs for Success (CAPS) at various sites in the district.
She serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Bayfront Youth and Family Services located in Long Beach, California. Dr. Lyles enjoys volunteering her time in and around the local community, sharing her experiences and inspiring others to accomplish their goals. She is committed to excellence, as well as fostering growth, change, and resilience among youth and families.
Latice SuttonOperations Manager
Latice Sutton joined the Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino (BGCSB) in 2009. Ms Sutton currently works as the Operations Manager ensuring the smooth operational practice and procedures of the organization. Ms. Sutton manages all of the activities that are associated with the finances of the organization from Accounts Receivables to Payroll. Read More
Prior to joining the BGCSB, Ms. Sutton was the Chief Operating Officer of Courthouse Attorney Services where she provided legal solutions and services to multiple Law Firms, and paralegal services to the community. Ms. Sutton has studied Paralegal and Business Management at the University of La Verne.
Alma FloresProgram Director
Alma Flores studied liberal studies at Riverside City College, and biology at California State University San Bernardino. Ms. Flores is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all program areas within the Club. She plans, develops, and manages program implementation, in addition to supervising program staff and other related administrative duties. Ms. Flores serves as a liaison between parents, schools, community groups and Club members. She works in partnership with the Director of Program Development to ensure that a myriad of pro-social and youth development opportunities are available to all Club members, and provides orientation and goal setting for all Club members as well.
